As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist since 2009, I worked as a clinical dietitian at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St Louis, Missouri then as the Coordinator of Nutrition Services at Western Kentucky University. I received my Bachelor of Science in human nutrition and dietetics from The Southern Illinois University at Carbondale prior to completing my dietetic internship at St. Louis University and Master of Public Health at Western Kentucky University. I have experience with disordered eating, sports nutrition, gastrointestinal issues, weight and body image concerns, nutrition related health conditions and general wellness. I have a passion for helping people reach their optimal health through nutrition using an evidence-based, non-diet, food first approach.
While at WKU I worked with all types of students on campus. I worked with student athletes to create individualized nutrition plans, provided education for one-on-one counseling sessions, team and class presentations, as well as grocery store tours where I taught young athletes how to shop for healthy, nutrition-dense food on a budget.
I currently reside in Oakwood with my husband Jeremy, two sons Drew and Jack, and daughter Kate. I am also a veteran who served 20 years in the Illinois Air National Guard before retiring as a MSgt in 2015.
